Dear Friends and Patrons,

FRIGID New York is thrilled to announce our sixth annual festival of Independent Theater from February 22 through March 4, 2012. We hope you are as excited about the upcoming festival as we are!

In the past five years, FRIGID has gone from being an unknown newcomer in the festival community, to become an internationally recognized member of the Independent Theater world. The first come first served portion of our festival was filled in less than 10 seconds this year. Numerous FRIGID participants have gone on to produce their shows in other venues, states and countries last year. With two of last years favorites snagging spots on Horse Trade’s touring roster for the coming year.

In addition to its theatrical successes, this year FRIGID has been awarded it first grants from both the Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts. We are thrilled to have received this support from our local and state government organizations and hope that this will open some doors for us with private granting institutions.

None of this growth could happen without the support of patrons like you. Since 100% of ticket sales at the FRIGID Festival go directly back to the artists, our programs are dependent on your generosity. With your contribution, we will be able to better publicize the festival and the rest of our year round programming like the miniFRIDGE, the Halloween Event and the December Event, attracting a larger and more diverse audience. We will be able to hire more front of house staff to deal the ever-growing crowds of theatergoers. And most importantly, we will be able to maintain our commitment to the artists by continuing our policy of returning 100% of ticket sales to them.

Please renew your support for FRIGID New York this season by making a contribution to help us continue to grow. At FRIGID, we are committed to keeping costs low and even small donations can make a big difference. All FRIGID patrons will be recognized on our website and will receive the benefits detailed below.
