D’yan Forest (actor, comedian, singer, musician,playwright) (AEA, SAG-AFTRA) 78 years young, has been lighting up audiences forover seven decades. She started earlywith piano, then ukulele, moved onto trumpets, drums and the glockenspiel. Her music took her on global performances inParis, Israel and Greece. Afterreturning to the states, this native Boston girl moved to New York City, andhas made a successful career singing in nine languages in the tri-state area;Waldorf, Plaza and Park Lane among others.
In addition to national commercials and international printcampaigns, her credits include Gigi, Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral,and Shaw’s The Music Cure. Herprincipal role as the mother in Soldier’s Heart, has been screened innumerous film festivals throughout the world. She’s branched into a new career as a ukulele-playing comedian appearingat the Gotham, Comix, Carolines on Broadway,the Duplex, and the Metropolitan Room.
In 2011, D’yan did a solo production of her one-woman show IMarried A Nun at the Emerging Artists Theatre Festival and at the DixonPlace Theatre in New York City. She hassince been invited to perform her show at the 2012 Frigid Festival (New York,NY), 2012 PHX Fringe Festival (Phoenix, AZ) and the 2012 Orlando InternationalFringe Festival (Orlando, FL). Inbetween show dates and festivals, she has performed comedy sets in New York,Maine and Toronto, Canada. Mostrecently, D’yan performed her show I Married A Nun to rave reviews atthe 2012 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC. She’s currently developing her second soloshow titled My Pussy’s Purrin’ Again, which will debut at the 2013Frigid Festival (New York, NY).
