
Turhan Caylak
(Playwright)
Turhan Caylak is a graduate from The Atlantic Theater School through NYU’s TischSchool of the Arts. Although his concentration was acting, Turhan also grew to be a consummate writer, both for the stage and film. One of Turhan’s short film scripts, Mama, won over 10 international film awards in 2011, including best produced screenplay and best film at the Pasadena International Film Fest, and the Silver Palm Award at the International Film Fest in Mexico. He has recently penned a new script which was optioned by an A-list actress. His acting credits on TV and film include co-starring roles on Law and Order SVU, Nurse Jackie,ABC’s Zero Hour and What Would You Do?, Parco P.I., Rhythm of the Saints, The Accident, and over 20 national commercials. In addition to acting and writing,Turhan enjoys playing drums and guitar, and writing songs. Turhan wrote the original version of Ringmaster over fifteen years ago, yet only had a staged reading of the play. Turhan is very excited to see that Ringmaster is making its world premiere at The Kraine.

Brett Jeffrey

Brett Jeffry is proud to be making his Frigid Festival debut with the production of Ringmaster. Brett studied the craft of acting both at the William Esper Studio and also the Wynn Handman Studio. Brett’s most recent work has included the short films Tribe and Someone’s There, the television show I Just Want My PantsBack, a few commercials and a really cool music video (Pyro) for the band Kingsof Leon.

Sarah Rathbun

Sarah Rathbun hails from Syracuse, NY and moved to Manhattan after receiving her degree in theater from Nazareth College of Rochester. Some of Sarah’s favorite roles include Jenny in The Shape of Things, Cass in Wonder of the World, Helen in The Cripple of Inishmaan, Medea (Redux) in Bash, and Emma in Betrayal. Sarah also enjoyed working on the web series’, Gentleman’s Dwelling and The Upstarts.Sarah is a proud member of Actresses As Allies (A3), an alliance between talented, motivated and dedicated actresses based in New York City. In addition to acting, Sarah is very passionate about health and wellness, and will soon become a certified Holistic Health Coach from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Sarah is excited to make her Kraine Theater debut in the Frigid Festival for the world premiere of Ringmaster.

Dani Baum

Dani Baum is a native New Yorker who graduated from Hunter College Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Theatre & Creative Writing. She has studied the Meisner Technique with John Tyrrell of The Neighborhood Playhouse and extensively with Alan Langdon at Circle in the Square Theatre School. After completing the 5level Improvisation program at The Peoples Improv Theatre, Dani continues to study her craft with Susan Batson & Larry Moss. Dani has worked professionally in Film, Television, Commercials & the Theatre. Theatre credits include; The Children’s Hour (Martha,) Women of Manhattan (Billie,)Something Outrageous (Fifi,) The Queens of France (Madame Pugeot,) and Why I ama Bachelor (Director.) Film credits include; After school (Cannes Film Festival,) Don Peyote, We Are New York, Consent, Rain Today, The Killing Joke,Everyman, Mirror Shutter, Best Year Ever & Latchkey Kid. Dani is the founder of A3: Actresses As Allies, a strong and growing alliance between talented, dedicated & generous actresses based in New York City. A3 was setup for members to support, encourage & celebrate each other's goals &successes while providing a safe environment to create & nurture new projects & work. Dani is also a proud member of Bear Trap Productions, a production company dedicated to producing short sketch comedy videos for the web. Dani is currently writing a screenplay inspired by the beautiful life & times of the great Janis Joplin & is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.
