GUIDING PRINCIPLES

FRIGID New York’s selection process is uncensored and non-juried.

FRIGID New York returns 100% of the box office revenue to the participating company.

FRIGID New York offers thirty (30) Production Slots no longer than 60 minutes in length: Ten (10) each in The Kraine Theater, The Red Room, and UNDER St. Marks.


GENERAL APPLICATION RULES

• ALL Applications to FRIGID New York must be submitted via the online form BETWEEN Labor Day (12:01am Monday, September 1st) and Halloween (6pm Friday, October 31st) 2008, Eastern Standard Time.

• THE FIRST HALF (15) applicants to FRIGID New York will be accepted on a first- come, first- served basis.

• THE NEXT TWELVE (12) FRIGID New York participants will be selected by lottery on Halloween 2008 (the night of Friday, October 31st).

• Applicants not selected by first-come, first-served OR by lottery drawing will be put on a festival wait list based on order of entry.

• There are THREE (3) performance slots in FRIGID New York reserved for the CAFF Touring Lottery.Slots unfulfilled by the CAFF Lottery will be offered to the wait list based on order of HaloweenLottory.



FEES

FRIGID New York has a $35 non-refundable APPLICATION FEE which will be charged to the applicant’s credit card at the time of application submission.

  • There is a maximum of two (2) application submissions per COMPANY.
  • INDIVIDUALS are limited to one (1) application.

If any applicant is found to be submitting above the maximum amount, ALL applications submitted by that applicant will be removed from the process entirely, and application and submission fees will not be refunded.

The FRIGID New York PERFORMANCE FEE schedule is as follows:

The Kraine Theater $850
The Red Room $550
UNDER St. Marks $675

The PERFORMANCE FEE is non-refundable and charged to the applicant’s credit card ONLY upon acceptance into the festival. Participant credit cards will be charged automatically with notification of acceptance. All applicants will be charged $550 upon acceptance with the balance, if any, to be billed upon venue assignment and notification.

There will be a request on the application for order of venue preference. Horse Trade determines the final venue assignment based on availability, venue requested and project suitability.

Participants are scheduled for a minimum of four (4) performance slots, each limited to sixty minutes in length.

Should a situation arise in which the participant must withdraw from FRIGID New York: Horse Trade must be notified before December 11, 2008 in order to refund 50% (one half) of their PERFORMANCE FEE. No other fees will be refunded. The vacant slot will be offered to the wait list based on order of entry.



IMPORTANT DATES
• APPLICATION PERIOD: 12am September 1st 2008 (Labor Day) until 6pm October 31st 2008 (Halloween), Easter Standard Time.

• LOTTERY DRAWING: Friday, October 31, 2008 at midnight.
