Caroline is a teenage insomniac hypochondriac obsessed with time and hyperactive thyroid syndrome. Ernie lives with his mom and makes believe he is a gigolo from Brooklyn. Angie hides in her closet, looking at pictures of her dog. All three are janitors at Toronto’s East General Hospital. Emily Morwen returns to New York to premiere her new one-woman show.

Emily Morwen took a six month trip through Asia. During this time she began to write her very first show, Spotless. Up until then she had been acting in plays written by other people. Some of Emily’s Toronto stages credits include: The Other Annie (Berkeley StreetTheatre), Summer and Smoke (Alumnae Theatre), Wonkytalky (Tarragon Theatre), Steel Magnolias (Stage 324). Before moving back to her hometown of Toronto, Emily graduated from New York City’s Circle in The Square Theatre School where she combined her forces with a few other graduates to form a theatre company, Unbound Theatre. While living in New York, Emily appeared in Under Milkwood (Kraine Theatre), The Green Stockings (Urban Stages), a featured soloist in a Cabaret (Triad Theatre), Twelfth Night (Circle in the Square). Emily spent a season at the Williamstown Theatre festival where she acted in several productions including: Once in a Lifetime, Fancy, All That’s shiny, The King Stag, Renaissance, and Window. Emily is thrilled to be returning to New York City to perform, Spotless. |
