Who is David Tyson?

Well, he has been compared to being a little like Robin Williams, the Marx Brothers and Al Pacino, all rolled into one; the comparison was made by his mother but it still counts.

He bills himself as a modern day jester and just like the jesters of days gone by he weaves together stories that are sure to entertain and perhaps enlighten.

David Tyson, Artistic Director of his, “Weaver of Tales Theatre.”
Actor, storyteller, mask performer, comic and clown, all because he didn’t want to sell insurance for a living.  For twenty years he has been creating & adapting material. He has performed solo and with groups at: theaters, fairs, festivals, and schools throughout the United States. 
 
In this show “Modern Medieval?” Mr. Tyson shows us the past isn’t so different from the present. “I’ve always been fascinated with how society moved from what we call the Dark and Middle Ages into the Renaissance; and I thought it might make sense to try to learn from what’s come before.” Playing multiple characters and using masks, magic and  a lot of mayhem, David tries to shed some light on these, our, dark ages.

Ms. Ray is pleased to be working once again with Mr. Tyson’s Weaver of Tales Theatre Company. She still enjoys the challenges associated with live theatre but is not quite ready to give up her career as a Nurse Practitioner.  Her other passion includes ballroom dancing, so you better watch out Marie Osmond.
